The Southern Utah University Community Engagement Center is located right across the street from the Old Science Building and has a ton of volunteer opportunities. This is a great way to engage in service if you are limited in travel distance from campus. Organizations to become involved with include SUU Service Mini-Breaks, Habitat for Humanity, Days for Girls, the HOPE Pantry, Animal Rescue, Bread and Soup Nite, Senior Citizen Outreach, Service Club, After School Sports, Camp Kesem, and Special Olympics. In addition, students can apply to be a campus Service Leader after they have shown a dedication to the program and giving back to others. Students are encouraged to get on their weekly service email (signup on their website) and stop by their office for more details.
