Students interested in this service learning opportunity will help in the Family Support Center which is a small crisis respite nursery for children ages birth through eleven. The main goal of the center is to protect children and strengthen the family. A clean, safe environment is essential for the healthy development of children.
Students will be able to participate in a variety of tasks including: organizing, assembling educational material, and cleaning toys.
Volunteering a few hours a week helps the center by reducing the costs. Here is how you can help:
- Help us with yard work and other household maintenance.
- Donate items on our “needs list” (for example: diapers, wipes, formula, paper products
We work with:
- High schools and colleges to help fulfill volunteer credits
- Scouting groups and scouts working on Eagle Projects
- Church and civic groups
How Can I Volunteer?
It’s simple. Call Rose at 435-668-7270. There is minimal paperwork to be completed. For volunteers, we will need a copy of your driver’s license or Utah State I.D. card. This is for the Background Criminal Investigation check. Long-term commitment required.
